About Destiny of H.O.P.E., Inc.

Destiny of H.O.P.E.'s mission is "to help at-risk youth, the formerly incarcerated, and the community at large, to love, teach, and to guide them into fulfilling lives of promise; to give them hope and a future."

Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals—including facilitators, outreach workers, tutors, and mentors—who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we provide comprehensive support to children, youth, and families, fostering resilience and empowerment within our community.

Through our mentorship program, we offer a variety of classes, which are curriculum-based and cover a variety of subject matters: ReDiscovering You, Building Healthier Relationships, The Critical Change Gang Prevention Program, and many more. Through our Reentry program, "Community and Prisoner Reentry education" (better known as C.A.P.R.E.) we offer resources to men and women returning from incarceration; we also provide those same resources to youth returning from the Juvenile Justice Center and DYS.

We are requesting your support to help us provide programing for Columbia’s at Risk Youth by providing them a safe place to learn and be before and after school as well as a place for the students that fall through the cracks of our education system to have a chance to learn and discover another constructive path for them to take. Our Center strives to be a sanctuary, and empowering our youth is at the core of our vision. We envision a space where young people discover their strengths, talents, and passions. Through mindfulness practices, conflict resolution workshops, and communication training, we aim to instill a sense of tranquility within our scholars.

We are proud to collaborate with a variety of local organizations to enhance the support we provide to our clients. From local churches to healthcare providers, to our everyday community members, even to our local government. It should be noted that our partnerships play a crucial role in extending our reach and deepening our impact across the community.

Destiny of H.O.P.E., Inc. was founded and incorporated in 2001 by a group of committed community members who recognized the need for a local organization to be focused on supporting individuals in need. Since then, we have grown into a thriving nonprofit, serving hundreds of individuals each year. In collaboration with P.E.A.C.E. (one of Columbia's 501(c)(3) organizations) we have created the P.E.A.C.E. and H.O.P.E. Center for Youth.

In an era where success is measured not only by achievements but by one's ability to connect with others, the P.E.A.C.E. and H.O.P.E. Center stands as a beacon to promote educational success and emotional growth. The collaboration between the two agencies, Destiny of H.O.P.E. and P.E.A.C.E., ensures that students do not just graduate academically, but that they emerge as confident, empathetic individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to our society.
