Boone County Community Bail Fund

Boone County Community Bail Fund is a volunteer-run community bail fund supporting our neighbors who have been injured by the criminal legal system in Boone County, Missouri. 

We are a member of the National Bail Fund Network and fiscally sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia.

Our organizing principles are:

1. It is wrong to keep people in jail merely because they do not have the resources to post bail. People in this situation can lose jobs, housing, or even custody of their children - and most importantly, their freedom.
2. Paying fines and fees from bail money is necessary to keep people out of jail. Debtors' prison is a real thing in Boone County.

A revolving bail fund needs cash to operate and every dollar counts. Thank you for your support!
