The Missouri Review

What We Do

Since 1978 the Missouri Review, one of the top literary magazines in the country, has been discovering both acclaimed and new writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. TMR's publishing internship prepares students for publishing careers.

Why We're Great

Twenty-five Pulitzer Prize winners have appeared in the pages of the Missouri Review, many early in their careers. Our internship trains students for careers in publishing. TMR offers three free author readings and receptions each year.

Why does your organization deserve community financial support?

In addition to being one of the best literary magazines in the country, TMR enriches cultural offerings in the Columbia community by offering three free author readings and receptions a year. Also, our internship enrolls sixty students a year.
