Southern Boone Learning Garden

What We Do

Southern Boone Learning Garden provides multiple programs for students of the Southern Boone County School District: school-day garden classes, elementary garden club, middle school cooking club, and farm-to-school programs. Reaches 850+ students.

Why We're Great

We serve a growing rural community by providing garden- and outdoor-based school day classes, hosting after school garden and cooking clubs, and working with groups to improve the overall health of our community. If a child grows it, they’ll eat it!

Why does your organization deserve community financial support?

The programming and scope of the program continues to grow exponentially, involving all grade levels. Our educational lessons are available to the public on our website. Maintaining a learning garden is more than dirt and seeds--it takes funds.
