What we do:
Over 200 volunteers from the Mid-Missouri area build PET's hand cranked, all-terrain, wooden carts that go where wheelchairs can’t. PETs are sent worldwide to those who are immobile and give them the chance to reclaim their lives.
Why we’re great:
The PET project was started by Columbia local, Mel West. PET provides more than 1600 individuals with the gift of mobility. PET provides both its donors and volunteers the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of leg-handicapped persons worldwide.
Why does your organization deserve community financial support?
PETs deliver more than just mobility. They deliver dignity to those who live by crawling. They deliver opportunity to provide for their family. They deliver hope knowing that their life can be different because of the generosity of others.
