Nora Stewart Early Learning Center

What we do:

Nora Stewart Early Learning Center believes that every child deserves the opportunity for high quality early childhood education, and we are proud to prepare our students for success as they enter the public school system and beyond.

Why we’re great:

Founded by Ms. Amanda Estes in 1933, Nora Stewart was the first nursery school in Columbia to serve African Americans. Today we are building on our proud past, preparing our community's children for a bright future.

Why does your organization deserve community financial support?

Many families in our community cannot afford quality childcare. That is why we offer high quality, affordable preschool education on a sliding scale and prepare our students for a bright future. We believe every child deserves access to a great education.
