What we do:
MMLS provides free legal services to low-income people in civil law cases involving orders of protection, family law, guardianships, consumer cases including debts, bankruptcies and foreclosures, housing law, employment issues, and public benefits.
Why we’re great:
MMLS provides access to justice to low-income people who otherwise would have to go to court alone. It is the only free legal aid program that provides representation in hundreds of court and administrative proceedings in mid-Missouri each year.
Why does your organization deserve community financial support?
MMLS’s attorneys help low-income people improve their lives by achieving safety from abuse, establishing custody and support to stabilize their kids’ lives, and obtaining health care, food, shelter, and other basic necessities for their families.
