Southern Boone Learning Garden

Teaching the next generation how to grow their own food & prepare or preserve it, is our daily goal. The mission of the Southern Boone Learning Garden is to provide an immersive outdoor classroom experience and resources; to facilitate fun, have authentic learning experiences that challenge students to embrace positive life skills; and to promote collaborative efforts between the Learning Garden and the community. The Southern Boone Learning Garden also provides an after school garden club opportunity for 3rd & 4th graders in the fall and spring of the school year. We directly reach 850+ PK-4th grade students monthly, per school year. The lesson plans are developed by SBLG Garden Educators and are tied to Missouri standards and the Next Generation Science Standards covering math, science, social studies, writing, and more.  We are a one of a kind program dedicated to inspiring future leaders, scientists, farmers and garden & plant enthusiasts!
