MoDE Foundation empowers families of students with disabilities at our free advocacy clinics and during school meetings across Missouri. These advocacy services are provided so children with disabilities can access their right to a public education with appropriate interventions in place. Our volunteers have generously shared their expertise at clinics in Columbia, Jefferson City, Kansas City, Moberly, Rolla, Salisbury, St. Joseph, St. Louis, and Springfield. As the demand for our advocacy clinics grow, we need funds to support the travel, lodging, and venue spaces for our advocates and attorneys who volunteer their week-ends to provide these services.

In addition to individual supports, we are deeply engaged in statewide advocacy to enhance education for children with disabilities across Missouri.  We have successfully championed three significant legislative changes.  There are approximately 115,000 students in Missouri public schools who rely on special education supports. Our mission is to improve educational outcomes for each of these children.

Our organization began with six moms around a table, who were determined to change the lives of children with disabilities. After six years of growth, our board has expanded, with half of our members now based in St. Louis. This summer, we will host an educational event in St. Louis to support communities of color and families in need. Please support our mission so we can continue our commitment to making a meaningful impact in our state.
