Improving the Health of the People and Communities We Serve

The Boone Hospital Foundation provides support that directly improves patient care at Boone Health as well as the people in our 26-county service area of central Missouri through the outreach programs and services of Boone Health. We support efforts such as enhanced patient care, advanced technology, community benefit programs and staff education. 

Examples of this support in 2024 are:

-Awarding $31,000 in scholarships to foster growth within our Boone workforce in the form of nursing scholarships to "grow our own" right here at Boone Health

-Providing $9,700 to provide 172 post-stroke, post surgical and ante-partum patients with therapeutic massage

-$6,000 support to Therapy Services in the establishment and scholarship of the Fit for Delivery course for expectant mothers, focusing on improving outcomes for moms and their newborns

-$11,800 to renovate and update comfort care rooms at Boone Hospital for patients in transition

-$6,000 to provide needed A1c test kits, dermascopes and other equipment for the Boone Community Wellness Mobile Health Unit, which visits over 15,000 in our community

-Providing those patients with no means to pay, the needed discharge medications to continue healing at home

-And much more!!!!
