The Community Foundation of Central Missouri  (CFCM) presents and is the energy behind CoMoGives. The CoMoGives campaign flows naturally from the Community Foundation’s mission of “Working Together. Improving Lives.”

One of CFCM’s main goals is to strengthen the development (fund raising) efforts of charitable organizations. We do that by helping organizations establish endowment funds with the Community Foundation, educating organization boards and development staff in the virtues and methods of raising needed donations, and more. And we offer you and them the fun, easy, and rewarding CoMoGives campaign.

This is the fourth year for CoMoGives. This year you’ll find 92 participating organizations. We offer a simple, donor-friendly way to give to the nonprofit organizations that are important to you. And you can give to more than one organization with one simple credit card transaction!

CoMoGives is just one of the products and services offered by the Community Foundation of Central Missouri. Our primary products are endowment fund services, such as donor advised funds, field of interest funds, designated funds, and scholarship funds. We help more people become donors, broadening the tent of philanthropy.

We’re very thankful to our five terrific business sponsors this year: Commerce Trust Company, MayeCreate Design, Columbia Daily Tribune, News Talk 1400 KFRU, and KOMU-8. Please support these community-centered, local businesses!

Commerce Bank is proud to work with the Community Foundation of Central Missouri to support the fourth annual CoMoGives campaign. With more than 90 participating agencies, 2016 promises to be the biggest year of giving yet!

Commerce operates more than 350 retail locations in the Central United States, including seven in the Columbia area. We know that our connection to the community is essential to growing and thriving as a business.

At Commerce, giving back is ingrained in our culture.  We believe our success is a direct result of the vitality of the communities in which we operate.  That’s why we not only invest financially in these communities, our employees are also heavily involved in making them better places to live and work. In 2015 Commerce and its related foundation provided more than $3 million in community support.

In celebration of our milestone 150th anniversary last year, our employees participated in 150 ‘Acts of Commerce,’ meeting the challenge to take part in more than 150 community service projects.

Commerce Bank is also the exclusive bank issuer of Charity Charge, a unique credit card program that allows cardholders to donate 1% of every purchase. Charity Charge makes it effortless and convenient for socially conscious consumers to support the non-profits, schools, universities, and religious organizations of their choice. This collaboration with Charity Charge is, at the core, a reflection of Commerce Bank’s commitment to the community.

In this season of giving, I encourage you to join us in supporting CoMoGives with year-end gifts that will help local nonprofit organizations meet the needs of our community.

Columbia Daily Tribune

A robust community and a strong local newspaper depend on one another to grow stronger. A newspaper’s obligation to help the community has been a cornerstone of the culture and mission at the Columbia Daily Tribune for more than 115 years.

Besides striving to provide excellent journalism, the Tribune works hard to help countless worthy causes – everything from education and youth sports groups to arts, events and charities.

Our decision to assist CoMoGives was easy to make. With this annual campaign, the Tribune helps dozens ofcauses and thousands of people at once. We are proud to share our resources in a way that so efficiently enhances the immeasurable value these organizations bring to Columbia and Mid-Missouri.

Of course, the campaign depends on the leadership of Community Foundation of Central Missouri. We appreciate the opportunity to be a charitable partner with an organization that brings strong energy and a creative spirit to everything it does, including the ComoGives initiative.

Ultimately, of course, ongoing success is a credit to the generous spirit of the people who support CoMoGives, another reason why it is so gratifying to be part of this community. Together, we all make life better for Mid-Missouri.

With our deepest gratitude to all who help,
